Impact Players: University City

Jalen Hampton | University City | Class of 2021 | Forward

Hampton is a 6’6 rangy athlete with some major explosiveness. He’s twitchy, incredibly fast on the break, and can fly. He plays at the level of the rim and absorbs contact well which helps him average 18.9 PPG. He projects as an energy wing who will play defense, excel in transition, and work from the mid-range and in. His size and athleticism make him a premier athlete in the country and because of this, Hampton’s long-term potential is immense.

Carleton Thomas | University City  | Class of 2022 | Forward

Thomas was a prospect that played for GoL1ve this past summer at our event in Kansas City. He’s built his game nicely during this season. He’s got good hands and finishes very well around the rim. He finds the soft spots in the defense and is patient. Very active on the glass and plays well around the rim/baseline on defense. Thomas is a solid piece on this talented team and averages 11 PPG while also grabbing 6 RPG.

Barry Thomas | University City | Class of 2023 | Point Guard

Thomas is a quick, downhill point guard with some serious speed. Only a sophomore, he already controls the game and plays at a good pace. He looks to get his teammates involved first and does a great job of it. Thomas chips in on fastbreaks, hits the open 3, and makes good attacks to the basket most games for a solid scoring impact. Thomas is an under-the-radar guard in his class who has a lot of tools to work with.
