SLUH Basketball: 3 Impact Players

Nick Kramer | SLUH  | Class of 2022 | Wing

Kramer is a 3 level scorer who plays a physical style of basketball. He uses angles, explosiveness, and his strong frame to make scoring around the rim look easy. On the perimeter, his coach runs a variety of sets to get Kramer shots off curls and handoffs where his tough shot-making ability shines. Kramer doesn’t over-complicate the game and makes big scoring nights look routine. His consistency and production in every game are eye-opening. We see Kramer being a stock riser this summer with more exposure.

Aaron Walker Jr. | SLUH | Class of 2023 | Point Guard

Walker Jr. is a guard who is starting to make a name for himself. At first glance, his speed and desire to push the ball when the opportunity arises stand out. He gets to the rim quickly, and when there are taller defenders to challenge, he uses outside hand finishes to protect the ball. Walker brings energy and quickness to the floor when it comes to collecting rebounds and getting steals as well. He averages over 3.5 steals per game where his anticipation and quick hands show.

Jaden McClain | SLUH | Class of 2022 | Point Guard

McClain is a high IQ, pass-first point guard. He runs the offense with efficiency and takes care of the ball. He’s one of those point guards that is an extension of the coach. It’s rare to see McClain make the wrong read out of pick and roll or within the offense. Coach Erwin Claggett has obvious trust in his junior point guard and his game has developed nicely over time.
